any chance of a bit of moral support.

Hello to you all and Happy New Year,

This
is my first visit to the group. All apart from a
fairly severe spinal deformaty which occurred when I was
a kid,I have never suffered any ill or debilitating
effects. My deformity is not visible until I remove my
jacket or jumper.
As an aside from that I have been a
brace admirer for a few years and have even pretended.
(I do hope that my comments are not offensive to
anyone). Of late, the condition with my spine has
deteriorated and I have developed considerable difficulty with
regular falling and subsequet injury and great difficulty
in walking. My doctor is useless and I have not
managed to receive any help from him.
I have found on
very bad days that wearing my (previously pretend
braces) helps me to walk without falling every 10
minutes.
I have looked in to my medical history and it seems
that I had polio as a kid, but was lucky enough to
recover fully with exception of my twisted back. Is it
possible that these new debilitating symptoms could be
something to do with the childhood polio. I am very scared
and very worried about all this and I would be most
grateful for any advice.

Kind
regards,

Andrew:-)
