Preventive health strategies are much preferred when addressing any
chronic ailment. This is certainly the trend today. Another trend
today is equal treatment among the sexes - no more male chauvinism in
business, in society, in schools, in government etc. But isn't this
taking equality a bit too far. I thought only ladies suffered from a
Candida yeast infection symptom, right? Sorry Charlie, yeast
infection in man is not only possible but can develop into a serious
health issue.
Women have long suffered from yeast infections. Every pharmacy has
significant space dedicated to products which are recommended to
treat this ailment - but they are gender specific. There are complete
lines of medication which specifically address vaginal yeast
infections. This is the common manifestation. Penile yeast infection
is much less common. Accordingly, medications for yeast infection in
man are not given the shelf space at the pharmacy or the commercial
air time on the TV. It may have made you a little bit uncomfortable,
but I am certain that you have seen TV ads addressing vaginal yeast
infections. For penile yeast infection there is: no choice of
medication, no education about the disease and its treatment. Sounds
like the ladies are getting some revenge. More importantly, infected
men are left with few choices. Prescriptions are available but they
may or may not work. Some may even allow a minor symptom to develop
into a recurring yeast infection.
Because of the seriousness of a recurring yeast infection, one would
think that men would take yeast infection prevention more seriously.
But because there is only a small occurrence of this ailment, most
men just ignore the whole issue. Ignore it and it will go away. The
treatments are difficult to find and possibly ineffective. The odds
are long that the Candida fungus will choose them, why worry? Well,
perhaps you need not worry, but what you need to do is practice
preventive medicine.
Ignoring symptoms or failing to identify the ailment is not
acceptable in today's society. Because yeast infection in man is
uncommon and because the symptoms sometimes are not obvious, the
likelihood of timely treatment is very low. Accordingly, there is a
high possibility that a severe yeast infection will develop. Also
with the possibility of ineffective treatment, the odds of a severe
yeast infection increase.
This becomes just another example of the importance of preventive
health measures. Often treatments and cures are either too late or
ineffective. Because yeast infection in man is a red headed step
child that no one wants to acknowledge, it is even more important for
men to practice yeast infection prevention than it is for women.
Preventative measures are straightforward and easy. Yeast infection
prevention can be as simple as practicing safe sex. The body will
defend itself much more effectively if one practices a healthy diet,
drinks plenty of water and exercises regularly. The other facet of
prevention is knowledge. Read about yeast infection so that you know
and understand its causes and symptoms. Learn how to cure a yeast
infection naturally. This involves strengthening the natural immune
system of your body to help it defend itself from infections and
disease.
Despite the low likelihood of yeast infection in man, it is not an
ailment which should be ignored. Practicing a safe, healthy lifestyle
is the preferred proactive solution. Dismissing something because of
low odds is not prudent. Preparing you body in healthy natural ways
so that is can defend, repair and restore itself is the sensible
course of
action.
