a taste of what I write

Laura, and others --
I'm copying below an e-mail I sent a couple of friends last night. A short story of mine is posted for a contest and voting continues through tonight. If you have the time or inclination, I'd love to have your vote. Either way, happy reading!

And to Laura specifically -- congratulations on the EC request! That's where I'm currently published. :-)   Lar

Hello, hello --
First, a quick apology for this being such short notice. My throat has been giving me fits all week (and before!!!) and it didn't dawn on me to e-mail until tonight. Doh!

Secondly -- a big request! One of my stories is up for a contest. Voting ends Sunday night/early, early Monday morning. I'm currently in a tie for 3rd place and only the top three stories advanced to the finals.

& vote on bottom right for: Story 13: A Valentine’s Heart for Adam...& Rick! (of course, I am perfectly 100% fine if you want to take the time and read all 13 stories and truly vote for your personal favorite. I don't have a problem with that at all, but after reading them myself, I'm happy to share that next to my own, my favorite happens to be story #1, which isn't anywhere close to the finals...leading me to think this is more of a popularity contest than truly "best story wins" -- which I still hope to be)

Your friend, Larissa
PS, one vote allowed per computer

Larissa, I'd love to hear the outline to this book you say you're
finishing with. I have so many!

One of them is titled Celina's Magic Jewell, it's at a publisher right
now - or the extended synopsis is at least. It's at Ellora's Cave
Publishing. I've had friends of mine go "Are you kidding?" Nope,
honest, they took all of three days to ask after the query letter, for
the extended synopsis. According to their guidelines, if it's a go from
there, they'll ask for the first five chapters, and then the whole
manuscript. Keep your fingers crossed. It took me a year to write that
manuscript to where it was even halfway decent, and I've done two
serious edits since then.

I also have e-books of poetry, two so far, and want to add more to that
number, but haven't had the chance. I've written poetry since I was a
little girl. I was all grown up when I started writing manuscripts,
LOL, 27 when I wrote my first one.
