Hi Lucy,
I am 53 now, i was 48 when i had my accident. I have not had an opportunity to
talk to another woman in depth about this new life style in a long time. I have
run into a lot of things i would like to discuss or ideas to share. Until i
found sci i was wondering if i was only one of a couple in the world.I wish i
would have known of even just one other quad in my area. I'm sorry i never told
you my injury,I,m c6 c7 incomplete.To me very aggravating in that i can't move
my fingers. But in my area there is no others like me, nor is there any within a
hundred mile radius.I don't have a vehicle although i have had my license for
almost 4 years. I had a vehicle after my accident but my daughter wrecked it and
i did not know until after the accident she only had liability on it . So that
stopped me dead in my tracks;.So now i am pretty much a shut in that i never go
anywhere except the doc and store twice a month. I would like to get a job. But
you need a car to work and a job to get a car.
Well now i'm rambling i'm sorry. Please write back i promise not to ramble.
Thank You

Hi, Lucy
I am 53, also L1 incomplete, since Jan 96. Itıs good to make connections
with other women, since we are a minority in the SCI community. Feel free to
ask questions. You can post to me privately also.
Life, indeed, does get better. You will find that new doors will open for
you that you never expected to. Your life will take on new directions to
compensate for the interrupted path SCI creates. Just remain as open to
change as you can possibly be. You never know what waits around the corner.
Anne
