Re: [Women with SCI] Pregnancy( Kim )

Hi Kim, I am so happy to see someone else wanting a child and not letting their
disability hold them back. Anytime you have a question feel free to e-mail me
privately ,( if you like ), Rodalways70512@..., would love to share
anything I know with you. I don't want to sound like an expert, but will help
with what I can. My motto is, A REASON TO BELIEVE, and of course one of my
favorite songs to, by Rod Stewart. I have been paralized since 1974, due to a
car accident, well of course that is a big life change in everyway, but I guess
you have to have the will to go on, and friends and family don't hurt either.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think a child would enter my life after all I
went through, already had a 3 year old, who is now 32,a nurse with 2 cute boys.
Anyway , she was from my first husband, who by the way walked out on us, but life
went on. In 1976 , met my now husband and in 1980, had second daughter, who is
now 23, 2 cute girls of her own, in 1984, ny baby boy was
born who is 18 , going on 40, BOYS!!!!!!!!!! It can be done Kim, believe me and
if you are a strong person with abilities to do what you want go for it. In
1999, when my middle daughter had her first girl, she was born 7 weeks early,
when she came home, (my daughter and husband both worked ), I chose to babysit,
as she came home with a heart monitor, well , at the age of 46, I would never
had though I could still do it, but guess once you have the know how you don't
lose it. I kept my Hannah , as I call her from, 6 in the morning to 6 at night,
and she is my heart , that is what keeps people like us going, someone to love,
to care for , to be needed is probably the best medicine there is. Ok, sorry
didn't mean to go on and on, but my husband says, I write like I talk, nonstop,
hey I'm a coonass, as they call us in the south, we love people and love to
talk. Write me anytime, love mail and love to help if I can. Later, Theresa
