Thanks. I tried the Solera but couldn't get my chair in. Maybe it's too
wide when folded.

I use a 2 door Camry, which they do not make anymore exactly but there is
what they call a Camry Solera. It is basically the same car, just a few
changes. It is not bench seat though. My first car was but then I deviated a
bit. I get in on the passenger's side. The wheelchair goes in exactly the
same, I just put one leg over to the drivers side then scoot over. It is
very easy for me, but not knowing your capabilities, it is hard to say if it
will work for you. I am pretty short so that plays a factor in the ease of
moving around in the car. I would highly recommend the car though. I have
had my Camry since 1995 and with 127,000 miles on it, I am still very
pleased with it. The only reason I am looking at a new car is because I have
2 daughters driving and they want my car.

I'm interested in learning from other paras who use a rigid frame
wheelchair
and take the wheels off each time they transfer into a car.
I've always used a folding chair and pulled it in behind me in a two door
car. It's getting hard (impossible?) to find a two door car with a bench
seat and a big enough back seat to do this. I looked at mini-vans but
didn't like the extra size.
I'd appreciate any help anyone can give.
