Hi and thanks for having this group! I have been searching for
somewhere that I may get a little insight on life, and this may be
just the place! :) My name is Barbara, my SCI is rather unusual,lol,
all the doctors say im a mystery anyway! I was a police officer, in
1987 I got jumped by a group of not so nice folks, went to the ER,
got a clear bill of health just sprains etc. I continued going to
doctors with mega pain but was told it was my imagination. Finally in
june of 2000 they did yet another MRI and found it! So, I have SCI at
C2,C2,C4,C5,C7,T1,T12.With reversed curve in a few places and
advanced osteoarthritis. And the oddest part is that overall nobody
can tell, so far I am still mobil! I havent yet been able to find
anybody with this type of damage who is not paralyzed, I only have
temp paralysis at times. OK sorry didnt mean to ramble, anyway I look
forward to meeting new friends and maybe get a better understanding.
