Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania Pageant
2002<br><br>News Advisory:<br><br> The Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania
Program is currently seeking contestants for the 2002 Ms.
Wheelchair Pennsylvania Pageant to be held in the Pocono
Mountains of Pennsylvania on September 28-30,
2001.<br><br> If you are a dynamic woman, a U.S. citizen between
the ages of 21 and 60, use a wheelchair as her
primary means of community mobility, and have been a
resident of Pennsylvania for at least one year. Marital
status is not a consideration.<br><br> Contestants in
the Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania Program will be
judged on accomplishments since the onset of their
disability, communication skills, self-perception, and
projection. They will compete in private interviews with the
judges, on-stage interviews in evening gowns and platform
speech presentation. It is a competition helping women
to see their potential, share their accomplishments,
and challenge personal growth.<br><br>Ms. Wheelchair
Pennsylvania is an enthusiastic, productive, and adaptive
woman who is ready for the challenge of a rewarding new
position. Her duties include, media appearances; accepting
interviews; visiting schools; communicating as a guest
speaker; recruiting contestants for future pageants; and
touring hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other
places where she will be an encouraging role model for
all who see and meet her.<br><br>For an application
