Welcome. Let me being by saying you are NOT
alone. You have a network of women that have gone
through what you are doping with right here in this
group. We are all here for you and welcome you with open
arms. How were you injured? I am a T5-6 of two years
next month. I was injured in a car accident when I
fell asleep at the wheel. <br><br>Fear, I think, is a
natural emotion when dealing with any type of life
change. Fear of the unknown, especially. I am sure you
were scared when you had your first child and when you
married your husband. Life if full of uncertainties that
we all have to adjust to. Sad, but true. You will
get through it though. You will learn how to get
around and how to deal with the hurdles you will face.
And when you need the support of a woman that's been
there, you have all of us. NO question is silly, and NO
question should go unasked. If it is something personal,
you can always ask for email addresses and deal with
the question that way. Whatever is most comfortable
for you.<br><br>Anger, that's my favorite emotion.
Two years later, I am still trying to get a hold of
that one. I am 20 years old and I was the kind of kid
every parent wanted. Didn't drink or do drugs, never
got in to trouble, always confided in my parents. I
followed all the rules. When I was injured, I couldn't get
past the fact that I had done everything adults told
me to do and still got screwed in the end. I am
overcoming that emotion with the help of a therapist,
something you may wish to consider. I have learned to find
the best of what has happened to me. As a result of
my accident, I have met truly wonderful people and
gotten rid of some people that weren't as good for me as
I thought. I have learned so much about myself and
inner strength. And I am so extremely thankful to be
alive. The car accident should have killed me, but I was
spared. I am thankful for that every day that I wake up.
Thank God that you're still here to watch your children
