Lisa, <br>I have had a terrible experience with
Baclofen. The side effects were so much worse than the
spasms. Baclofen made me so moody. I was a complete bitch
for six months, and I truly couldn't help it. My
positive, carefree attitude was replaced with thoughts of
suicide. I never wanted to go out, I was AlWAYS tired. I
couldn't get enough sleep, not even when I layed in bed
ALL weekend. I couldn't focus in class. I always felt
like I was somewhere else. I would get home to do my
homework and forget what I had learned not an hour before.
It was awful. I felt like I was losing my mind. I
started seeing a psychologist because I just couldn't
figure out why I was so unhappy. Then I ran out of
Baclofen and couldn't get it refilled for three days.
Almost instantly I was back to myself. I ran out on a
Friday, and by Sunday I was feeling like my old self
again. I was more alert, more positive, I even got my
sex drive back (I lost that too!). I haven't had any
thoughts about dying, and everyone around me notices the
difference in my attitude. I feel more alert, everything is
better. Are you currently taking Baclofen? I don't know
of anyone who has the pump, sorry, so I'm not sure
how that would be. And I know people react
differently to medications, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to
talk to your doctor about some of the side effects
I've had. I go to talk to my doctor on Tuesday and I
intend to bring up the baclofen problems. Oh, I also
used to go in to fits of uncontrollable shaking. I
would go to bed at night and not be able to get warm
enough. It felt like my insides were frozen, even when I
had a bunch of blankets on me. <br><br>Anyway, that's
my experience. I hope yours is a better one!! Let me
