Anytime, Laura.  I have 3 kids myself but they're all school aged so my days are generally free.   You can email me or call me.  My number is 949.235.5281.  Have other people expressed an interest?

I'm hoping someone will know someone who can help.

I have two very dear friends (married couple) who are qualified to
adopt children from foster homes (she and her husband took the
requisite classes and everything already), and are looking desperately
for a 0-3 year old girl. If you know of anybody who has a 0-3 year
old girl in foster care, would you please contact me so I can put them
in contact with my friends? Please forward this to anybody and
everybody you know - thank you in advance. I'd love for them to have
the gift of a baby girl.

in the Los Angeles area.
Sunday, May 20, 2007. Toluca Lake, California.
10am - 5pm.
Fee $85.00

Visioning is a ground-breaking method of personal planning originated by Dr.
Lucia
Capacchione. This playful approach to making dreams come true in all areas of
life -
health, relationships, work, leisure and more - applies imagination to the
"real world."
Using highly engaging media such as photo collage, drawing and writing with the
non-
dominant hand, participants learn to think with both sides of the brain.
Through visual
thinking, "wish maps" are created followed by right brain journal writing for
working
through blocks to success. Group sharing provides practice in verbally
articulating the
dream and rallying support from others.

Lucia Capacchione, art therapist, trainer, author of 13 books on recovery,
healing and
growth through creative expression. Her books include the bestsellers Recovery
Of Your
Inner Child, and The Creative Journal, the Power of Your Other Hand, The Art of
Emotional
Healing and Visioning: Ten steps to Designing the Life of Your Dreams.

To learn more about here methods go to www.luciac.com
For a full description click on the events tab and look for VISIONING.

Also, you can register by calling: (805) 927-2301.

I have studied with Dr. Capacchione for the past year and I am amazed at her
skill and
compassion in facilitating individual growth in a group environment. She is
awesome!

Hi all! This is Mandalyn, I met many of you at the November circle.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon:)

The information below is about a Girl's Night Out event in LA tonight
- I'm working at the event, and while I was there last night, I
discovered that if you fill out a simple online survey, you get free
admission and a free goodie bag. I'm a total sucker for free stuff,
and it's unusual for me to have the opportunity to get other people
into an event like this, so I thought I would spread the word. I am
not affiliated with this company (Shecky's) in any way, I just work
for an event staffing company (Party Staff) and they hired us to work
at the sign-in table last night and tonight. I'm really not an evil
corporate spammer, I swear.

So...
If you:
A) Use hair & beauty products,
are
B) near downtown or willing to drive to downtown LA to get them
and
C) willing to pay $5 in parking for a goodie bag with hair care and
beauty products - (the web site says it's worth over $100, but they
always inflate the value of these things, so I'm guessing you would
normally pay about $50 for the stuff... but you would still be saving
money if you don't have to drive too far.)

then this is the event for you - TONIGHT - Shecky's Girls Night Out -
5pm - 10pm
110 E. 9th Street (between Main and Los Angeles) in the California
Market, 13th floor, 'B' side. You can park in the lot across the
street for $5.

To get FREE admission and a FREE goodie bag, go to:
http://www.sheckys.com/girlsnightout/la/fall2006/survey.asp?rf=return

and fill out the survey with your email address to get your name on
the list.

Aside from the free goodie bag, there are free cocktails and beer,
lots of new designers and shopping available, and you can say hi to me
at the sign in table! :)
(You do have to be 21 to attend... I think most of you are, but I
thought I'd mention it just in case. Don't forget your I.D. to get in.)

You can see more info on the designers, etc. at
www.sheckys.com/girlsnightout/la/fall2006

P.S. your confirmation email tells you that you can park in the
building, but that will end up costing you $10, so it's better to park
across the street. ($5).

Hope to see you there!

Hello all you lovely women!  Why don't we do a Clothing/Stuff SWAP at the WomenHealingWomen Gathering --either after the holidays( when many of us will get clothing/things we don't want...), --or even at the next meeting? For more info go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LA_Swaps & either read the home page or for even more detailed info join the group. But just a reminder: A swap is where you bring a bag of things in good condition that you don't want- & we all lay stuff out on tables & take the things we do want; there is a pattern for doing this to make sure its fun & fair/non-competitive. Absolutely no money or bartering is involved--we are just giving away to our friends the things we don't want.  And women can bring things like CDs, books, housewares, arts, etc if you don't have clothes to get rid of.

I sensed with many an aura of some desperation at the last meeting: Why not replace that with a Swap --which is a Celebration of the Abundance, Sisterhood, Recycling,  & Community Synergy!

Just a thought!

XXXOOO!
