This is just too funny! How appropriate! Now you're cleaning up
garbage places and trucks to haul it off, instead of having it heaped
onto you! I love it.
It's true. When I didn't agree, I wasn't "listening", though I heard
every word and also understood what he meant. I just didn't agree.
And there were no straight answers from him. That was part of it.
Everything was ambiguous.
He also never wanted anything from me. He said he wasn't one
of "those" husbands, not the kind who ever expected things from his
wife or ever told her what to do. He told me how lucky I was that I
wasn't married to "one of those".
But his 'rules' were unspoken and changed by the moment. I was
supposed to just know what to do. He wouldn't tell me, that way no
matter what I did, it was "wrong", from what was for dinner to what
time it was, to when I took a bath, I should have known! "Anyone in
their right mind would have known!!!" he said.
So, according to him, he was a nice person who never made any demands
on me and I was an idiot who never did anything right.
Hugs
