About the Carnivals
New York: Kids for Kids Family Carnival, May 20, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Think cobblestone streets, New-York-City-chic. For one special afternoon, the Foundation will transform the streets of the West Village and the halls of Industria Superstudio into a carnival playground for kids of all ages. Guests will enjoy mouth-watering cuisine from 40 of New York's finest restaurants, the opportunity to do arts and crafts with world-famous artists, and cutting-edge interactive activities. Those lucky enough to attend will also see a team of "heroes" (our code name for celebrities from sports, fashion, TV, film, and the NYC social scene) at the helm of old-fashioned carnival games. Past attendees include celebrated actresses Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore,
Sopranos star James Gandolfini, and football phenoms Tiki Barber and Eli Manning. Click

Los Angeles: A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival, Sponsored by Disney, June 11, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
You can still be Hollywood hip with grass under your feet. With the help of title sponsor The Walt Disney Company, the Foundation will create a child's fantasyland on the grounds of Los Angeles's Wadsworth Theater. At past carnivals, guests have enjoyed storytelling with celebrities like Jack Nicholson and Brendan Fraser; knocking Dave Navarro and Jimmy Kimmel into the dunk tank; and playing carnival games with the likes of Tom Hanks and Dustin Hoffman. Who knows what thrills await this year? Don't miss this chance to find out. Click

About the Foundation
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment to people with HIV/AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life-threatening pediatric illnesses.
In 1981, Elizabeth Glaser was infected with the AIDS virus through a blood transfusion, and unknowingly passed it on to both of her children. Following her daughter Ariel's death in 1988, Elizabeth joined with close friends Susie Zeegen and Susan DeLaurentis to create a foundation with a simple and critical mission: to bring hope to all children with AIDS. The Foundation that started as three mothers working around a kitchen table has now become a major player in the fight against AIDS, both in the United States and around the globe.
