On Friday, June 20, I overheard a conversation where AIDS was
compared to heartworm.

Oh yes you heard me correctly "heartworm" - yep there now that has
been clarified, let me continue.

Can we get HIV/AIDS from mosquitoes?

The question, I am sure has been raised throughout the years,
especially when HIV/AIDS first broke out, however since then it's
been proven there is no link whatsoever.

People need to stop listening to myths and get educated about the
facts surrounding HIV/AIDS. There are so many individual's out there
who are so busy gossiping about everything else, they become like a
huge vacum, taking in all the wrong information and passing it along;
never once questioning a real professional about the truth because it
would be too boring.

Education and awareness are important componants - without them we
are simply ignorant of the truth.

This is like a trickling effect; more and more people are hurt, or
die because of misinformation; HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Poverty, Malaria
etc - you get it, I hope.

But how do you begin to talk with someone who refuses to believe what
you tell them; even with the evidence staring them in the face, with
doctor reports, complete studies and other "facts" that have been
taken over time, since in the early eighties when AIDS broke wide?

I try to be understanding, but after awhile it really grates on your
nerves, especially when your out to help others, not to be
judgemental or hateful.

Like racism, it will always be around, there will be people who want
for "myths" to be the truth, just because it's more jucy to gossip
about.

Gratefully there are other's out in this world who do actually care,
so much so they are willing to gladly do what it takes to help out
ers without a hidden agenda; they do it out of LOVE for their fellow
human-kind. I do it because as a person who lives in this world, my
first instinct is to help those who cannot help themselves.

Who are suffering, are outcasts and need our compassion, love and
acceptance.

I will help as long as I can; it's not only me either who is involved
but my heavenly father; he has asked me to love unconditionally, give
of my heart and not to judge --

What about you?

Feel fortunate?

Do us all a favor and get educated, pass it along and help kill the
myths concerning HIV/AIDS; many people need our help, so start today -
it doesn't take much, just a heart for people and love.

You know the truth; don't stand by while others spin more myths;
educate them instead, stand up for what is right.
