Dear Friend,
It's time Congress stopped playing politics and started helping women and children suffering from HIV/AIDS around the world.
Tell your senator it's time to act! Urge Congress to protect those most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.
For the past two months, the Senate has been at a standstill, remaining silent on critical global HIV/AIDS legislation that could provide important HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment services to children, women, and families in urgent need.
This is precious time that women like Florentine, from Cameroon, don't have. Florentine discovered she was HIV-positive soon after she became pregnant. Unlike the majority of women in resource-poor countries, Florentine was able to access important prenatal HIV/AIDS medical care and take lifesaving medicines to prevent HIV transmission to her baby, Faith. Thanks to these important prevention of mother-to-child transmission services, today Faith is a healthy little girl who continues to be HIV-free.
But the 1,100 children around the world who are infected with HIV every day are not so lucky. In fact, without access to important lifesaving medicines, half of these children will die before they reach the age of two.
Tell Congress enough is enough. Urge your senator to support important global HIV/AIDS legislation that could save countless lives of women, children, and families.
Make your voice heard today!
