Dear Friend,
On June 30, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation will begin its fifth
AIDS Walk Africa -- the first in the Kingdom of Swaziland. As fellow Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, esteemed broadcast journalist Chris Matthews and I share the conviction that one person can make a difference. Throughout our respective travels to Swaziland, we have been captivated by its breathtaking beauty and saddened by the severity with which the tiny kingdom has been affected by HIV/AIDS.
As Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, we are committed to affecting change. Our desire to bring hope to children and families in Swaziland, the country with the highest rate of HIV infection in the world, has compelled us to seek your help.
Please watch this 90-second video for a glimpse of one mother's journey on AIDS Walk Africa, and then
support the AIDS Walk Africa Fund TODAY.
Your donation to the AIDS Walk Africa Fund will bring hope to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. The Foundation is now the leading provider of prevention of mother-to-child transmission services in Swaziland, where almost 40 percent of the pregnant women who visit our clinics are infected with HIV.
AIDS Walk Africa is truly the journey of a lifetime and we hope that you will consider joining us in Swaziland. But if you are unable to walk yourself, please
sponsor a mile in support of the AIDS Walk Africa Fund. Every mile walked -- and every dollar raised -- gets us closer to our goal of eradicating pediatric AIDS.
Every child deserves a lifetime -- and working together, we can create a generation free of HIV/AIDS.
Sincerely,

Pamela W. Barnes President Chief Executive Officer |
