Welcome! The Tallahassee Weight Loss Surgery Support Group offers peer support and information to individuals in the Tallahassee, Florida area who are interested in weight loss surgery (WLS) as a treatment for obesity. Our group is not limited to patients of any particular surgeon or to those who have had any particular procedure. Many of our members have had the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass surgery, but those with other bariatric procedures (Duodenal Switch, Lap-Band, VBG, etc.) are also welcomed. Everyone is encouraged to participate, including pre-ops, post-ops, and those who are just beginning to research surgical options. Friends and family members offering support to WLS patients are also invited to join us. Please remember that information shared in our group is generally based on members' personal experiences and is not intended as medical advice.
