Had gastric bypass with Dr. Marema at U.S. Bariatric almost 4 years ago (lost 130 lbs., was 315), had tummy tuck and neck lift with Dr. Revis 10 weeks ago. Scars are healing up well, but I look a bit lop-sided so far (largely because back wasn't done, I think). Time will tell. I still have no sensation on the scar line of the tummy and wherever liposuction was done. This too should improve by 6 months.
Dr. Revis is very pleasant and informative, and does 1/2 his practice on former bariatric patients. He has a considerable international clientele as well. I have confidence in him and would return to him if I were to have more done (but I'm not).
BMI of 35 could be alright; do you have any co-morbidities? High blood pressure/cholesterol, diabetes, sleep apnea, bad knees, etc.? I had high blood pressure and it disappeared within a week after surgery, as did my snoring.
Bottom line: all worth it, my life and health have really improved. I'd do it all again. Some parts of it are no fun, but time heals all and the results are life changing. Give it serious thought.
