I wish you the best on this new Journey!! My insurance didn't cover
any of the surgeries. I have heard of some people being covered for
limited procedures but you have to go thru months of documenting the
problems the skin is causing you ect..

As far as pain goes - I think it's different for every person and
also depends on the procedure being done. I had very little pain
when I had my open R&Y Gastric Bypass - never hit the morphine - not
even once, but when I woke up from the lower body lift I was
squeezing that morphine button for all I was worth - trying to get
every bit of the drug into my body that I could!! But on my last
set of procedures I didn't have much pain at all and recovered
faster than I ever had, though the fast recovery may have had
something to do with the protein milkshakes the Doc had me on.
