I find this very interesting.

I have been under the impression that heat will kill the enzymes.
Hence the focus on RPMs for augers. If I recall correctly, there is
a magic number of around 85-90 RPMs being the most desirable.

Forgive, but was it you who mentioned the ice cubes to cool the
high rpm blade action? Is this a satisfactory solution?

In my, albeit limited, experience, I have not seen one juice bar
"blending" wheat grass.

Can you supply some links to the references mentioned below.

Forgive my skepticism, I'm always looking to save time and
cleanup. So this is appealing to me if I can convince myself I
will see the same benefits as with an auger.

Please, if anyone has any other opinions, chime in on this topic.

Editors note: It is not just the heat, but the oxygen
that is drawn in by the high speed rotation. It oxidizes
the enzymes.

vita mix is a BLENDER; if you 'blend' it, you will still drink the grass and have to digest it................... and high speed of vita mix will somewhat...

Yes you can juice grass in the vitamix blender along with everything else.You will need a nutmilk bag to strain the grass juice with,I love how fast I can make...

Vita Mix has always been a VERY HIGH SALES promoted product. Claims that its wheatgrass juice is BETTER, with more nutrients than Korean or wheatgrass...
