Paul,
I just do not understand. Whole wheat flour is just ground wheatberries. The
mill receives the wheatberries already threshed from the wheat stalk. They do
not separate the berries from anything during the manufacture of whole wheat
flour. Is there something I am missing here?

All the flour manufacturers I have contacted in Spain, indicate that the
process to separate teh wheatberries from the rest of the wheat is not set
up for their factories. That is to say that it is not viable with modern
processing methods to separate the berries during flour manufacturer and
that to satisfy a demand for a small quantity of wheatberries they would
have to set up their machines differently. In short it is not possible to
obtain wheatberries for self cultivation of wheatgrass and i've yet to find
a juice bar, yes even in modern day barcelona, that makes the stuff.
