Re: New Member Question
Hi Scott
I used to live and work at OHI and when I left, I did exactly what
you are wanting to accomplish now. Fleamarkets are excellent
resources for used trays. Posting wanted ads in grocery stores,
laundermats, healthfood stores etc (be sure to target kids as well as
adults). Kids can collect trays from their classmates. Offer to pay
(.10-.25), offer pick up and just watch your amazing return.
Distribute handmade flyers in neighborhoods and check SD freebie ads
Some neighborhoods in SD are great places to treasurehunt for nursey
trays on trash pick-up days.
I was fortunate to find a health food store that gave me a discount
on bulk seed orders. Check out Peoples in Point Loma. Call or visit
OHI for the name of their supplier. Post a wanted seed supplier and
used nursery trays request at OHI and be sure to post your hand
delivered WG trays for sale at OHI because many recuperating guests
need resources for WG and prepared raw food. I used to make the
sauerkraut and rejuvelac and sell to health food stores along with
hand delivered WG.
Hope I've inspired you with this info. Your resources are limitless
and your costs can be minimal when you know and feel in your heart
you are doing this for the good of yourself and mankind. Most
certainly we need more people like you in this world.
