Hi, I have been growing wheatgrass on and off for several years. A few
years ago I was growing in flats for a local hfs but the demand got
too much for me plus had too many problems related to weather changes
etc (like in summer the humidity would cause mold). Now I just grow
for myself and I use the plastic 1 lb container that strawberries come
in. I line them with unbleached paper towel from hfs so that I can
re-use them.I soak 1/4cup hard winter wheat berries over night, drain
and plant on organic potting soil I buy at hfs. I cover with a piece
of paper towel to keep them dark and water every morning. Usually
ready in a few days. I do use a second cutting. I always have some
growing, I place them on top of the fridge once they have sprouted. I
have a GreenStar juicer and altho I know some people don't recommend
it I cut and put the contents of one container thru the juicer along
with my other produce.
