Re: [wheatgrass] Re: Ice cubes.......

The best wheatgrass juice is fresh juice. The second best is freeze-dried.
With freeze drying the flash frozen juice is dried under pressure in a vacuum.
This allows the ice crystals to go from frozen to vapor or evaporation without
ever going back to a liquid phase. It is done using very little heat.
This process preserves all the enzymes with very little nutirent loss.
Fresh is best, but the better capsules and powders are made from freeze-dried
wheatgrass powder.

wheatgrass juice will deteriorate and oxidize after a short time, but
it is still good. I would suggest that you freeze any juice that you
dont consume within an hour of juicing. Freezing will slow down the
oxidation of the juice. I freeze extra juice often, although not as
potent as fresh juice it is very convenient. "Naked" brand juice is
pastuerized juice, not raw juice this is why it has a longer shelf life.
Pastuerized (heated) juice is dead juice! I judge the potency of my
juice by the grass i used (strong dark broad blades with no mold) Not
sure how they make the tablets.
