Hi Ron
The most important thing to know is that you must buy a masticating
type juicer rather than one with a centrifugal blade. Five reasons
not to consider the Omega- 1. it has a centrifugal blade than spins
the juice out of the wheatgrass 2. the high speed of the motor
changes the life energy inherent in the grass. 3.High speed motors
cause rapid loss of oxygen and other nutrients including enzymes in
the juice 4. It does not extract the juice as efficiently as a
masticating juicer
(krilian photography shows a vast difference in juice quality between
centrifugal juice vs masticated(pressed) juice. Companies like Omega
and Champion tout the effectiveness of juicing wheat grass and it
simply doesn't compare to juice that is masticated...I did a test one
time and the grass in the pulp tray was still wet and when I used a
juicer that presses the grass, the pulp comes out dry.
I looked at the Samson juicer and it appears to be a masticating type
of juicer, but I know nothing about the quality of this brand name.
It is also very important to get a stainless augur..which is the
grinding/pressing/masticating component inside the long spout of the
juicer. The dry pulp which expels itself out of the spout is dry -
it can be dipped in the juice can be used effectively as a poultice
for open wounds, eye pads, muscle spasms, placing inside mouth on the
gum or chewed, and so many other uses.
Look for Stainless Auger that Exerts Pressure To Squeeze Juice From
Grass. I looked at the Miracle juicer, but it stated stainless juice
screen, but nothing about the augur.
The Wheatenna is my all time favorite.
