Re: [wernicke-korsakoff_syndrome] Anyone in similar situation?

My situation was similar to yours. I'm in California and my dad was in Arizona. My brother wanted nothing to do with "it". He passed away March 22, 2008. This is going to be a rough Father's Day.

hello - My Dad was diagnosed w/ WK & has been in an assisted living
facility in another state for 3 years now. Don't get me started on the
medicaid laws from state to state. It's sad, sad, sad. I find it
very hard to deal with. It's me & my brother - but I'm the
responsible one, visiting, primary care person. I have huge guilt for
not having him live w/ me. Thought it would be helpful to find
someone who's going through this too.
