Hope everyone is doing well!! I am frazzled..trying to help my dad.
He is 57 retied firefighter has insurance they pay 80% he is
responsible for 20%, he has gone to rehab in June 2006, Oct 2006,
April 2007 and were in August and its time again for him to go to
rehab to get off alcohol. I know you have to want it within to live
sober..he admits he is an alcoholic, he knows all the steps..but is
he willing to do it? Now that he has WKS, his life choices effects
me. I don't want his mind to wither away so far that he wont know who
I am or his 5 year old grandson. I have explained how important it is
he stops now to avoid further brain damage..I have a last chance of
hope to save him, my mother-his x wife of 30 years is willing to
relocate from beautiful northern California to care for him, yes, he
is that worth it. A once so strong man who would do anything for
anyone. Intelligent, hard working , provider..now a weak alcoholic
slowly deteriorating to nothing. We have a mobile on land set up for
them to live and grow a garden, he is an artist and sculpts clay , my
mom is strong and healthy and a willing heart to help him see how
amazing the sober life can be if just given the chance. I want to put
him in a rehab one last time..to detox safely and come home to a new
home, new life, new surroundings..I am afraid his insurance wont
allow him in again this year..but time is everything and all we have
left if we don't get him in this time now, he may not survive the
last chance at a new life we have invested so much time and hope
into..does anyone know of a place that can help him last resort if
his insurance wont cover his detox rehab? please let me know.....were
searching all avenues..Thanks so much your time is greatly
appreciated. Sunni
