Hi everyone,
Ann and Nora - sorry to hear your news hope things
turn out ok for you both.
Amanda - That is my worst nightmare what you
described. I'm really sorry things are so hard for you
at the moment but I guess what Ann said is important.
When you see how much destruction drinking can cause
it makes you wonder why it happens.
My dad remains in residential care although on list to
be rehoused to live by himself. I've said before his
lack of insight into his problems mean that it is
going to be very hard to get him to accept any help. I
know I'm going to be worried sick about how he manages
and what state I will find him in especially given
that I live 60 miles away from him. He has a
reassessment for capacity comming up. I guess its one
day at a time.
Life goes on. But the sitauation is so sad he is only
56.
Hope you are all getting on ok.
Kaye
