I remember your emails. Fortunately, we have some on the ball doctors who
recognize this disease. What amazes me is my dad has been in 7 hospitals with
different doctors each time over the last eight months. One doctor will say he
has cirrhosis, here's where you can see it. The next doctor says no he has no
liver damage. One says he's definately has Korsakoff's. Another says
absolutely not. We're told so many conflicting things. At least we have some
doctors who are willing to do the tests and explain them to us. Today my dad
goes to his old family doctor for the first time since July. My mom's going in
with him and I'm sure she'll get different explanations from him. That's why
this group is so important to me. I need practical help. Even if this wasn't
diagnosed by the doctors, my dad had every symptom and the progress of the
disease has been exactly like what I read. Only now he's developed the
encephalopathy.
