Just wanted to let all of you know that I am making some progress with
getting my mother some financial help. I have had to appeal our
state's decision not to give my mom medicare based on their idea that
her illness will not exceed a years time. (it's been 6 months
already) We went to a teleconference hearing this morning and it
seemed to me that the judge was very sympathetic to our side and
hopefully our new medical records will clear all of this up. it has
been a fight for every little thing but finally i have hope that it
will all work out. As for my mom......she has a lot of anxiety about
things and cries very easily. She is capable of understanding her
problems and the reasons she got ill and that has to be so hard. A
lot of guilt over the past and she is always worried that I'm mad at
her if I don't call her for a couple of days. Again maybe Nora can
help me to better understand what she is going through.
Anyway.......keep working at these things, eventually people may
better understand this illness and make it easier for the next family
to deal with! Chella
