HI there Ann......no need to tell me what Haggis is as i know!!! We have
many Scottish people or decendants that still celebrate many scottish
celebrations here, and this is one of the things they all like to eat
ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!
Wow 18degress for a summers day, gee whizz!! It was 1 degress here this
morning but it has managed to give us a nice sunny day (i even mowed the
lawn) and now on about 11 degress i think.
We have a elderly man just come into our NH and he is a born and breed
Scottish man. I was talking to his wife whom comes in most days and told
her how i just love to listen to her accent.......also just love the deep
Irish accent as well.
Our WKS resident is Scottish as well. We sing old songs gone by when i
am doing his cares just to take his mind of changing his diaper as he can
become agressive, so singing old tunes always works. I must say i hum
some of the unknown words though very well!! lol
Sorry have no suggestions re your father. Brian is allocated his smokes
usually one an hour. He sits outside the office or follows the carers
around whoever has them asking all the time for one.............oh that
brings back memories. I just realised yesterday that he has now been in
the Nursing home for 9 months.
Well i best get my uniform on and head for work as it is almost 3pm here
in New Zealand.
Nice talking to you Ann
Tania
