My roommate lost 22 lbs (9.9 Kgm) in first two months. Now he has gained
about 5 of them back. It's been three and a half months since he suddenly
couldn't walk, talk, or do much of anything for himself. Now he gets around
tentatively on a walker for about 15 minutes a day. He speech is better but
not good. His handwriting has improved a lot. We have hope for a lot more
improvement.

Fortunately he didn't get the Korsakoff part of the illness. He has no
memory problems. But he is depressed a lot.
