What is the most important information I should know about Pill?
You should not take Pill if you have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia, if you are using a second form of medication, or if you have suddenly stopped using alcohol or sedatives.
You may have an increased risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior at the start of treatment with an antidepressant medication, especially if you are under 18 years old.
If you have had any kind of heart trouble or liver or kidney disease, be sure your doctor knows about it before you start taking this drug. It must be used with extreme caution if you have severe cirrhosis of the liver. A reduced dosage may be needed if you have any sort of liver or kidney problem.
You should not take Pill if you currently have, or formerly had, an eating disorder. For some reason, people with a history of anorexia nervosa or bulimia seem to be more likely to experience Pill-related seizures.
Do not take Pill if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, or tranylcypromine in the last 14 days. In addition to you watching for changes in your own symptoms, your family or other caregivers should be alert to changes in your mood or symptoms.
Possible food and drug interactions when taking this medication
Do not drink alcohol while you are taking Pill; an interaction between alcohol and Pill could increase the possibility of a seizure.
