How many times has your doctor failed you?

We visit our doctor time and time again to be fobbed off and we live each day in fear because we can't understand why we are so ill.

Our doctor runs blood tests and we are told they are "normal" and we feel far from normal.
We are told we are tired mothers, depressed, menopausal, neurotic or "It's all in our mind"
Our doctors sigh as we enter their consulting room and yawn while we are speaking earnestly to them. We often leave feeling rejected and humiliated.

Those of us who are "lucky" enough to have a diagnosis of hypothyroidism are given synthetic T4 (thyroxine) and left to get on with it. Problem is, we still don't get well and sometimes get worse.

Why is it that the NHS are not seeing that thousands are suffering at their hands?

The reference ranges are bleak and inaccurate and the treatment sub standard.
In the end we have to resort to private doctors and there are some fantastic one's only too happy to help.....at a cost.
