On May 5th the VPTA will sponsor it's first CEU awarded continuing education opportunity outside of annual conference. The seminar " Negotiating with Third-Party Payers" will be presented by Erik van Doorne, PT, DPT, COMT, Cert. MDT. Dr. van Doorne comes to us with a decade of experience in negotiating with insurers.
This exciting event will benefit participants by providing valuable information on laying the groundwork for successful negotiations, identifying boundaries of negotiating with insurers, and understanding the process of negotiations with third party payers from prep for the first meeting to closing the deal.
As therapists, we think in terms of transferable skills. The need for strong negotiation skills is NOT limited to the clinic owner or manager. Anyone who deals with people can benefit from the information supplied by this course.
