In the past, our listserv was used primarily to share important
legislative and regulatory information. We would like to broaden
the purpose of the listserv to promote a more vibrant dialogue
between our chapter members. We encourage you to utilize the
listserve - but please carefully consider the "listserv etiquette"
points found below.
Listserv Etiquette
The group welcomes discussion that is professional and respectful in
nature. We welcome debate, but we ask that you consider this a
public forum. Also, remember that electronic communication can
often be misinterpreted without knowing the tone of voice or body
language that we are used to receiving with other messages.
The listserv is moderated (reviewed prior to delivery to the group)
This remains a forum for intellectual exchange on clinical,
regulatory and other professional topics and we hope our members
will continue to respect this and each other.
Our Yahoo Group works by sending any message posted to the entire
listserv. Everyone gets each message and any replies that are sent.
You may choose to reply only to an individual person by copying
their e-mail and sending a message directly to them. Otherwise,
clicking "reply" will send your message to about 700 of your
colleagues! We highly recommend that you send messages and
responses intended for an individual to only that person to reduce
the volume of e-mail sent to the entire group.
If you receive your messages via a daily digest, replying to that
message sends up to 25 messages contained in the one e-mail to the
entire group. Please cut the specific message from the digest and
paste in a new message to respond to the group.
To reduce any chance of an electronic virus being transmitted, our
group does not permit e-mail attachments from members. If you have
something important to share, please let the list owner
(vpta@yahoogroups.com) know and we can review the content and
consider uploading it to our files area. No corporate
advertisements will be accepted.
