Last week the eye doctor put his contacts in the easy rub version and it was a horrible burning in his eyes ... he could only leave the contacts in for one minute. Of course he didn't take the sample that the eye doctor offered him.
I recognize burning of eyes as a sign of glycol ether exposure, and sure enough that is there (This type of chemical will cause significant eyesight loss & MSDS info says to wear air tight goggles when around glycol ether. It should NEVER be put in anyone's eyes
