At first, my daughter was not getting them bad enough where she was severely
ill. The second to last one sent us to the emergency room with uncontrolled
vomitting. Apparently the infections are not going to her kidneys but they are
still making her very ill. The urologist is puzzled as well, but thankfully, he
hasn't given up. The last infection was immune to the antibiotics she takes
each day (2 different ones). It makes me fell so helpless because I have no
idea how to help her. Believe me, we have tried EVERYTHING!

going to her kidney's but will not prevent UTI's at all. Right now my daughter
has had one and then another right after. But it's not the kind that made her
severely ill like before. Which means it stayed in her bladder.

He had his surgery and was fine. Since we were told it was a genetic condition,
we had our other children tested via ultrasound. Our second son did not have it
but our third child, a girl, had reflux grade 5+ on both sides. She was
operated on 3 days before her first birthday. Unlike our first son, she did
have stents placed for 6 weeks. For the first year and a half, she was symptom
free. Once we started potty training, she began having UTI's again. All tests
have been repeated numerous times. Two or three years later, we still are
getting UTI's every 6-8 weeks-even on antibiotics. Our final test to repeat is
a VCUG. We are hoping after this procedure, we will have an idea of what is
happening to her. She is now 5 years old. Has anyone ever had difficulties
after their child has had surgery? I am new to this site so any ideas are
greatly appreciated.
