I've always had a fear of people looking at me covertly. It would be
OK is someone was watching me out in the open - annoying - but OK. But
if someone was peering around a corner, a crack, from the dark outside
through a window into a lit house, or via electronic means, it would
freak me out.
When I was young around the house I couldn't stand the space between
and open door and the hinge as it's an easy place to spy from. But now
at home I feel unquestionably safe here. I do close the curtains with
no crack when it gets dark, and I suppose I've learned to cope.
