I have this a little too. As a little kid my dad had deer heads and
all kinds of fish etc.. in the basement, and he MADE me touch them as
a kid. Especially the eyes from some reason. So while I have not
been afraid of them, I will not touch them. I married a hunter/fisher
and have a few in my home how - which I am NOT thrilled about but as
long as I don't have to have them staring at my in my living room or
have to touch them - I'm ok with it.
To get over the buffalo one - if you live near a Bass Pro Shop, where
they have stuffed everything - the one by us has a buffalo, it maybe a
good idea to go there and just get familar with seeing it.
Good luck!
