I have been a member of this group for a while and do have something
similar .. I would be very afraid if I were in the water next to such
a big ship. Like paralyzed scared. If in a car or walking next to
such a ship (BTW - I would not recommend a cruise) I'd be ok, have
done it while on a cruise. I just cant be in the water next to
anything. Boat, buoey, pier, bridge etc...Think I would drown rather
than swim to something like that. I went tubing once (took a
chance), and freaked out when we floated over a washer or something
thrown into the river we were in. Really really grossed me out.
I typically love the water and pools, but large structures in the
water - make me very physically weak when I think about it. Could
never water ski because the boat has to come by and pick you up....
that would kill me!
Found the connection to your grandfather interresting. .... Best of luck!
