I just joined the group and so far, you are the only one I've seen
with a phobia remotely related to mine. I have a phobia called
'emetophobia.' It's the fear of vomiting. I get panic attacks when
anyone around me is sick because I am afraid they are contagious and I
will catch it and vomit. I am terrified to vomit. It's been over 20
years since I have. People with this phobia usually take desperate
measures to prevent it from occuring. So far, I have been successful.
But I have two kids and when they are sick, I try to stay away from
then instead of taking care of them like I am supposed to. The phobia
is so strong that I worry about it every single day. I don't like
going out in public, espcecially public bathrooms for fear I'll get
germs that will cause me to 'get sick.' Anyway...I just figured I'd
share my phobia with you since I saw what you had written. Thanks for
'listening' and feel free to reply. Have a Happy Halloween! =)
