 I personally won't touch the bottom of a boat because I fear the germs. Same with Bridges or docks and also your statement about objects sticking out of the water (just the thought that comes to mind makes me think of bodies)............but why do you fear smelling bad-I find that I can control the smell of myself and my clothes pretty easily and know that if I am outside and need a change of clothes I have it in my car or purse.
