Hello Yolholsky
Well funnily enough they've sent me a load of details. It's a self-
help group and they've got quite a few local groups. Not only do
they deal with phobias but they also deal with Obsessive Compulsive
Disorders. You attend a weekly group which is lead by an ex-phobic
and from what leaflet tells me you go to this group and work on an
exposure programme (exposure to the thing you're frightened of). The
website is www.triumphoverphobia.com if you want to find out more.
They're really good and if you send them an email they reply really
quick! They'll ask you for some details about you, your phobia and
how long you've suffered, then they send you an application form
together with a leaflet with some instructions. You'll have to get
yourself a copy of the book Living With Fear by Isaac Marks and read
it or at least chapters 11 & 12 so you know what sort of thing your
letting yourself in for. I'm going to go for it, positively wetting
myself at the thought but I might aswell, I'd rather not live with my
phobia any longer.
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!
LOOBRUSH
