Dear All
Firstly, thanks for the warm welcome. I saw a link to this group on
the unusual phobias website, it's great to know I'm not on my own.
My phobia is toilets, now just let me clear this up. IT'S NOT THE
SOCIAL FEAR of weeing and pooing, everybody has to go to the toilet
and do their bit, even the queen! I'm afraid of the toilet itself.
It started as the normal childhood fear of the toilet wanting to suck
me down, then one day somebody almost dropped me down one and my
nightmare came true. At three years old I wasn't exactly familiar
with Newton's theory of gravitational pull and so believed that
toilets were alive and nasty and wanted to get me. I still believe
this to this day and I particularly hate toilets with black seats and
and high-level cisterns! I suffer nightmares and everything and have
even been known to scream at the sight of a toilet.
Does anyone else have this? I'm also terrified of daddy-longlegs
(crane fly), eouuugghhhh. Their long spindley legs and horrible
buzzing just freaks me out!!!
