Since before I can remember, I have hated the fabric corduroy. My
parents used to try to dress me in it when I was young and I used to
fight with them until they gave up. Today, every time I see corduroy I
move away from it. If I touch it, I have to wash myself repeatedly.
The sound of it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end and
runs shivers down my spine. I have learned that this is a type of
textophobia. I'm wondering if anyone else shares this repulsion?
