Okay, so I developed this phobia about 10 years ago when I was
attempting to bring my cat inside and it was a possum eating out of
the catfood dish instead. It really affects my life. I get anxious
when I have to go anywhere at night because THEY may be out there. I
have been known to bawl if I see one (even if I'm in the car) I have
searched and searched for a name for this phobia because it is
definitely severe enough to be considered a phobia and not a fear
but i dont think there is a name for it yet. Anyway, if anyone else
shares my fear/hate for these creatures I would be glad to hear from
you! My family and boyfriend think I am crazy! I know there are
others out there that hate their little beady eyes and nasty tails.
Ugh...i'm cringing just thinking about them.
