I am relieved (no not literally) to see that there are other people
that suffer a similar phobia.
Since early childhood I have had a fear of toilets, I am now 26 and
still plagued.
I am scared of flushing them (but I have to as I can't bear dirty
toilets and hate it when people don't leave them clean).
I have had nightmares for about 22 years about not being able to find
a clean toilet to go in, dreams about dirty disgusting toilets,
overflowing.
Horror films don't scare me but if I watch an episode of Life of
Grime (with environmental health inspectors) I have to hide behind a
cushion.
I am still wary of our new house (we've been living there for 6
months and it is brand new so the toilets were clean) I am petrified
flushing the loo.
I can't use high level WC's – when I was at school I would not drink
all day so I didn't have to use the high level WC.
When I flush a loo I have to have the cubical door open for quick
escape.
I dread coming to work now as sometimes the toilets are disgusting
and make me sick

I am feeling really stressed about it.
