suggestion on the time thing but, no, I'm a christian and don't
beleive in reincarnation. There were a few phobias I didn't mention
before and I only know the proper name for one of them, which is
alecktorophobia (fear of chickens). I'm also afraid of cables (Like
elevator cables), pumpkins (pumpkin pie is okay though), heights,
deep mud holes, some amusement park rides, and office chairs. Okay,
I'm pretty strange. Today I was thinking all of these things over and
found each of them have a common bond that wasn't really obvious
before. That is: falling. Let me explain. When I was ten, I went to a
farm to pick out pumpkins to carve for Halloween. A big chicken
started chasing me and I tripped over a pumpkin and found that I had
fallen into a mudhole up to my neck. When I was twelve, I went to a
camp that had a lake and a cable streatched over it and it had a
little metal handle thing to slide across it on. In the middle of the
cable was a piece of rubber to stop you and you were supposed to drop
off into the lake. When I jumped off of the platform, it jiggled the
cabble and the piece of rubber fell off and I kept going until I hit
the pole on the other side and started going backwards. It was then
that I decided I should let go and I fell into the lake and escaped
with two broken toes. As for amusement park rides, in an American
amusement park, there's a ride that takes you up hundreds and
hundreds of feet in the air, and then drops you. Stupid me rode it
and vomited three times afterwards. As for the "time", I had fluid in
my inner ear and woke up one morning and got out of bed and lost my
balance. A fell and regained conciousness with a bloddy nose and a
splitting headache. As for office chairs, I tripped over one and
fell. My ankle got caught in the wheel and I got a nasty gash on my
foot. I put some tater-tots in the oven once and tripped over my dog.
I was flat on the floor covered in frozen tater-tots and have been
terrified of them since. As for ferrets, I went to the pet store to
pick up a new collar for my dog. I had been scared of ferrets since
Danna's ferret bit me and I turned to corner to face nothing but a
huge ferret poster. I shrieked and jumped backwards into a bin of
cedar chips.

associated all these things with what I really fear, falling
(although I'm still terrified of ferrets). Ummm...does anyone know
what the correct word for a phobia of falling is? Thanks and sorry it
was so long!
