Hello Meaghan,
I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one with an
irrational fear of wadded up paper. For me, straw wrappers are the
worst too. When my family and I go out to eat, everyone knows it's
my job to remove the straw wrappers and throw them out to ensure they
don't get crumpled. My husband sometimes will leave crumpled up
papers such as post-it notes lying about. I seriously just about
have an anxiety attack and after 4 years he's improved a little bit.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I have learned to
really control my anxiety (or obviousness of it) in front of people I
don't know very well because I'm afraid they'll think I'm a total
weirdo. I also have a fear of gum...I don't even like to spell out
the word. Feel free to e-mail me any time you want to vent.
Paula

EW, just thinking of them makes me shudder. The crumpled up paper
fear increases with size too, the smaller the paper, the more
bothered I am, for instance, a crumpled up straw wrapper is the
worst. AHHH! Anyone share this with me?? :) Meaghan
